The annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has arrived, and this year I scoured through all of their beauty offerings and pulled out some of the ones that I think are worth purchasing!
The sale is open to the public August 19th, and anyone with a Nordstrom card can get access earlier depending on their status (Member, Insider, Influencer, or Ambassador).
Olaplex Bond Maintenance System Set
I’ve been using Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector for about a year and I absolutely love it! It has helped reduce breakage and has made my hair strong, shiny and healthy. In this set, you get a jumbo size of that in addition to full sizes of their shampoo and conditioner, which both are very highly rated.
Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Lip Secrets Set
Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillowtalk is touted as the perfect lipstick shade for every skin color. This set is a really good value for the lipstick, lip liner and lip gloss, so if you’ve had your eye on picking one up, or are a big Pillowtalk fan, this is the perfect time to stock up and get more bang for your buck!
Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo & Dry Texturizing Spray Set
I’ve heard nothing but good things about Oribe products, and have been wanting to try them, but couldn’t bring myself to pay the money for them. This would be a great product to buy during the sale because you get a steep discount on the price!
Good lighting is essential for perfect makeup application! I purchased this mirror last November before going to Paris because it was so lightweight and could easily lay in my suitcase! It worked perfectly when we were in a hotel with bad lighting. I still use it everyday and it comes with a little magnified mirror that attached to the front. If I didn’t already have it, I would 1000% be buying it during this sale – the price is amazing!
Paula’s Choice Jumbo Size Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant
I’ve heard great things about this product and how powerful it is for blackheads and congested skin. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet, but will definitely be purchasing this during the sale. BHA, or Salicylic Acid is really good for exfoliation and helps smooth out your skin and keeps it radiant, which will be very important in the winter. I’ll post a full review after I test it out for a bit.
RevitaLash ADVANCE Eyelash Conditioner Duo
Looking for a way to grow your eyelashes? There are a few products out there on the market, and actually one of them is included in the sale, NeuLash. After trying both of these, and GrandeLash, this one is my favorite. I see results pretty quickly and it doesn’t irritate my eyes, so getting this duo is a great deal!
slip Pure Silk Queen Pillowcases (Duo)
If you choose to only buy one thing during this sale, make it the slip Silk Pillowcase set! I’m sure everyone has heard this by now, but sleeping on a silk pillowcase has so many benefits for your skin and for your hair that everyone needs one. Unlike normal pillowcases, a silk pillowcases won’t absorb your skincare products and reduces the friction between your face and the pillowcases, which reduces the potential for developing wrinkles. As someone who sleeps on their side, this is a huge plus for me! These slip pillowcases are not cheap, so this sale is a great time to get not one, but two.
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment
This treatment is something I always purchase when it’s on sale! It is marketed as “Hollywood’s 1-minute facial”, and while I’m not sure how accurate that really is, it’s a product that I do enjoy using and find does help exfoliate my skin. Like the name says, it can be intense for those that have sensitive skin. My skin isn’t overly sensitive, but I do feel some burning when I first use it – but you only need to keep it on for 60 seconds, so it’s not too harsh, and what you end up with is polished, glowy skin.
It has Pineapple and Pumpkin enzymes, which enhance exfoliation without overdrying. Lactic and Salicylic Acid that gives it that intense, chemical level exfoliation. Then Aloe Vera and Honey to soothe and soften the skin.
HOURGLASS Veil Mineral Primer & Translucent Setting Powder Duo
I have combination skin, which means that parts of my face are dry, and others are oily, particularly my T-zone. I’ve always had an issue with that area of my face getting super shiny by the end of the day, so I’ve tried almost every mattifying beauty product out there, but none have worked as well as HOURGLASS’ Veil Mineral line. I’m not saying it totally prevents my face from getting oily after a few hours, but I know that by the end of the day the makeup around my T-zone won’t start separating. I was very impressed with this range, so I would highly recommend it to anyone, but especially those with oily skin!
BeautyBio GloPro Microneedling Regeneration Set
I bought this set during last year’s sale and let me tell you, it’s worth the money! Microneedling is really good for your skin because it makes little microscopic holes that allows your skin to better absorb the products you use on it, and to increase cell turnover, so your skin heals itself faster (think: acne scars, hyperpigmentation, etc.). To me, the set alone is worth it just for the microneedle tool, but you also get a ton of products that all have great reviews.
